Pete130087@yahoo.com - June 25, 2013 Dark, malty stout without typical burned taste. Light Christmas scents of mulled spice, and cloves. Nutmeg clove cinnamon taste notes. Thick with spices and mild hops. Well balanced but brief flavor progression.

skiisme753 - May 16, 2013With the color darker than black holes and the aroma of banana esters, this beer is definitely unique. Taste it cold and you'll be swept with banana, cinnamon and nutmeg flavors. Let the beer warm a little and it will transform into a citrus aroma that has toffee, caramel and molasses flavors. It's like having 2 distinct beers in one glass. Warning, finishes extremely dry.

SweetChicChef - March 17, 2013Spicy!! Like Christmas cider mixed with smoky chocolate. Delicious and complex flavor palette but not quite drinkable.

jaywill1323 - March 16, 2013A very black beer with slight off white head. A very spicy cinnamon nutmeg and bananas aromas reminiscent of a holiday brew.
A thick mouthfeel with raisin tastes when very cold but opens up to an overpowering black licorice taste as it warms up. Exceptionally dry finish - the sambuca of beers. Wanted to like this one more but the licorice is not for me.

SDBeersnob - March 13, 2013One of my favorite breweries but this beer disappoints. Not a fan of the raisin and black licorice flavors.
