Dr Why - February 17, 2023Smokey. Smoother than the Marzen that tastes virtually the same. Might be good with barbecue but I don?t eat much of that these days. Good to experience one time. It also reminds me of the tastes of a ?topical anesthetic? me wee grandma would give me for a toothache. Who knows what that was?

ohnoimonfire1 - July 4, 2016Very dark brown. Smoky aroma but not as smoky as the Aecht Marzen. Nice lacy foam. Nice full body dark taste, hammy tasting. Drink with BBQ.

It's barley malts are smoked over beech wood logs. This recipe goes back to 1405!
