Pours dark purple with no head. Red wine scent in the nose, and, as it warms up, notes of vanilla, caramel, and oak. Flavors are sweet vanilla, caramel, oak, a slight taste of alcohol, so slight, that at 12+ percent abv, I'm going to give it a better score for lack of alcohol taste at such a high level.

Lived the vanilla from the bourbon barrel. Disliked the anise.
