Each time Ive had tangerine quad, my rating has gone down a little. Great aroma and no bad notes. My only issue is that its a little weak and watery. If youre looking for a smooth, soft, full bodied quad with faint bourbon barrel and orange flavoring, then go here. Also, not that sweet but not dry or bitter either. Plays it too safe.

Most tangerine/orange beers are either too fruity and light, too fake tasting, or too subtle (barely noticeable). This is a great dark quad that surprisingly doesn't completely bury the tangerine flavor. Great bourbon flavor with an adequate and satisfying tangerine aftertaste. One of my favorite heavy beers I've ever had and favorite citrus beers. A very strong beer as citrus beers typically go.

Excellent. Belgian with tangerine and Bourbon. Really good.

Not a huge fan of quads, but this one is up there. Smooth, smokey, buttery

It seems there is a decent Quad in this beer but it is masked by either too much citric acid or not enough tangerine flavor. I really like Avery's higher alcohol beers but this one is a miss for me.
