Bottle pour.
Aroma - sweet malt and plum and raisin.
Appearance - noticeable legs. Dark brown with ruby hues. Light tan head did not last long.
Flavor - sweet malt with dark fruits- plums, raisins. Slightly toasty. A hint of bitterness and a finish with an undertone of chocolate.
Mouthfeel - medium body, noticeable carbonic bite. Moderate carbonation.
Overall - smooth, malt forward with some bitterness to keep the sweetness at bay. Good beer, definitely a prime example of the doppel bock style.

Very rich and full. Terrificly fruity after taste. Yummy

No bitter aftertaste but has a coffee flavor. Really smooth. Opposite of an IPA

Typical German Double Boch. Good beer but not a show stopper.

Dark with faint head
Nutty tones
Seems like a dessert beer

Malty and chocolaty to start, with sweet and tangy notes on finish. Nice body but not filling....very tasty

Definitely prefer this to the aventinus. Malty and molassesy and unique! Awesome
