A-to B+. Fruit cake, mild roast sweet molasses.

Very light or watery but I had this after the big black espresso

Yeah... What StoutLarry said. \nIt pours like oil and is a solid brew to contend with. But if you can muster the fight, you'll see yourself happy at the end of a bottle. Mine also was 12.7 ABV.

Mine was 12.7%. Lovely aftertaste, smooth and not bitter. 4.5/5.

Smells & has the consistency of chocolate milk. The alcohol is clearly apparent on your breath once consumed.

Thick and pitch black. The first flavor to hit me is a smoky fruitiness, a bit stronger than I prefer. A moderately strong alcohol taste follows this, causing a boozy burn over my tongue and down my throat, no doubt from the aging in oak bourbon barrels. Slightly sweet, but not as sweet as I'd expect something brewed with maple syrup and molasses to have. Not sure I'll race back to Alaska to buy another, but worth smuggling past TSA.

Had a 2010 bottle just a few nights ago. Very well made stout. It still tastes fairly young, I'm sure that this will be one of the best stouts in a couple more years... Hopefully I can wait
