Pours deep brown, finger white head that dissipates slowly. Aroma is terrific, citrusy hops. Mild roasty malt immediately met by hop presence, pine and citrus. Very dry finish. Relatively smooth mouthfeel but a little thin. Liked it. Bottle, July 2015.

The roasted malts match wonderfully with the citra hops. The after taste is very pleasant and complex

Nice hybrid

The thing about The Brew Kettle...they consistently make a great brew and Black Rajah is no exception. This IPA/Stout hybrid possesses the strong bitter bite produced by Citra and Simcoe hops along with the roasted malt richness of a creamy stout. Tropical fruit notes frolic throughout.

A Black IPA full of tropical fruit players and assertive bitterness and a hint of roasted malt. Featuring Citra hops.
