It has a malt I don't care for, which I have recently experienced in Anchor Bock and Sam Adams Dark Depths. This one is better than both of those, in my opinion, and is mostly saved by the smoky almost-porter flavor. Once the initial taste settles, it improves. I can think of many beers I would choose this over, but it isn't something I will get again.

Taste likd a lighter version of the mission st. Anniversary ale. Nice taste less teriyaki
