janomac - February 5, 2015Pours deep brown with a red tint. Creamy foam that dissipates fairly quickly and leaves almost no lacing.
Nice toasted malt flavor with chocolate as a forward flavor, followed quickly by coffee. A little spicing in the back and mild vanilla in the finish. Not as sweet as I expected. The 5% alcohol is well hidden behind the stronger, balanced flavors. Very smooth. A very nice Porter, suitable for general use.
