Nice beige head with good retention and a good amount of lace. Nice copper colour and, though cloudy, not excessively so. Malt primary aroma with a touch of toffee and yeasty spiciness. Taste is toffee and caramel forward with a grainy, oaty sort of drying slightly resembling a brown ale or porter (though less intense) with a tiny remainder of vanilla. Slightly sweet but far from cloying. Way less sweet than Innis & Gunn but far more of a beer drinkers beer, even if less remarkable.
