11/26/15 - Thanksgiving at Claim Jumper. 11.6 oz bottle poured into a wine glass. Pours a mahogany brown color with ample head and average carbonation. Smell is bready, light malt, caramel, dark fruit like raisins. Taste is same but a hint of grapes, toffee, caramel, molasses. Medium mouthfeel, elevated alcohol is apparent but not overwhelming. Outstanding beer, not too malty and thick. I'd have it again for sure.

Sweet and heavy, but not so much that it feels like a liquor. The carbonation provides a nice balance in the middle while the final taste settles into a moth alcoholic aftertaste. A really good beer

Very smooth; lots of subtle, complex flavors in this. An outstanding ale!

This beauty pours a dark cola color that is somewhat hazy and with a caramel colored head that starts about one finger thick and settles to a nice thick film over the beer. Watch the subdued lacing as the foam quickly slides back into the glass. Toffee, caramel, blackstrap molasses, dark maple and cooked brown sugar probably round out the initial aroma profile. Dark fruits like plum, raisin, fig are present and there are notes of dark chocolate and some muted coffee tones as well. This is a rare combination of dark and delicate. The carbonation exploded on the palate and the flavors follow suit to the aromas with the dark fruits taking over initially, but the chocolate and coffee tones are quite noticeable. The sweetness found in the aromas sharpens into a deeper darker suculent version of themselves in the taste. The finish is somewhat dry and of Earthy spices....awesome!
