Katrina - January 3, 2013Great carbonation and pleasant bitterness. More bitter than you would find from a typical brown ale. There is noticeable spruce on the nose and very noticeable spruce taste. For myself, the spruce is not too much though it is not subtle. If you like fresh and piney hops you'll probably prefer this style of winter warmer over the usual spiced beers if this season. Tastes like Christmas while being a touch less in alcohol content for many holiday beers.
