FabAru - December 30, 2018Not your fathers 40 ounce. Thought DKML would be a gimmick but that is not the case. Somewhat of a boozy tabula raza to flavor with bourbon and it works. Not overpowering bourbon, perfect to savor. Similar to a barrel aged quad but without the sweetness and less rich. A very nice beer.

codehead - August 19, 2017Wildly different style from Founders, one of my favorite brewers. This beer is thick-sweet forward, akin to a good barleywine. The bourbon comes through at the finish, along with a slight bitterness that cuts through the sweetness nicely. The extraordinarily high ABV (14.5) is masked well. A definite sipper.
