Not your fathers 40 ounce. Thought DKML would be a gimmick but that is not the case. Somewhat of a boozy tabula raza to flavor with bourbon and it works. Not overpowering bourbon, perfect to savor. Similar to a barrel aged quad but without the sweetness and less rich. A very nice beer.

If you like beer, and you like bourbon... you will like this. By the way... according to waitstaff at Founders, DKML stands for Dick Kicker Malt Liquor

Smooth mild bourbon notes kick up the flavor of this malty beer. Much better than I thought it would be. Bravo!

Wildly different style from Founders, one of my favorite brewers. This beer is thick-sweet forward, akin to a good barleywine. The bourbon comes through at the finish, along with a slight bitterness that cuts through the sweetness nicely. The extraordinarily high ABV (14.5) is masked well. A definite sipper.

Has a heavy punch of abv, barrel aging does a great job of making it smooth for such a strong beer
