Mild and smooth with no bitterness. Thinner than most stouts and very refreshing.

Nice and thick beer with a slight alcohol burn.

As opaque as they come. Yum.

The roasted and smoky flavors at the start end with a spicier, almost black licorice taste at the end. Still, the flavors are not overpowering, creating a refreshing cool weather brew.

The body is a bit light for a double stout. Nice chocolate notes. Wonderful dark color. Malty. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. Head disappeared quickly. Alcohol taste is very prevalent, not something I usually notice at less than 10% ABV.

The first sip was coffee, more like a coffee stout than a milk or cream if that's your preference, tasty though. Thinner than one of those as well. Very dark, chocolatey, not too sweet. Not over hopped, enjoyable. The worst part is a slightly licorice flavor aftertaste by the end of the bottle. Not only would I enjoy it again I would buy it again
