A nice marzen. However, a little too smooth and uncomplicated. Lacks spice.

Sweet, but maybe just compared to other bitter beers in my flight. Carb, slightly sweet, not horrible wheaty after taste. Alc taste is strong, but it is 9%after all.

Copper in color with a slight white head and aggressive layers of lacing down the glass. Aromas of caramel and sweet malt. Never had an "imperial" Oktoberfest before but it is really good and a lot lighter than the 9% abv would suggest. Has a really nice toffee caramel character to it with a sweet malt middle and a dryness at the finish. Definitely would get again and probably the best beer I've had from boulder

Nice amber color and smooth taste. Can't really taste the 9%. Overall a pretty good beer.
