Nothing impressive at all about this beer. Not very good, but not bad enough for me to give it a 1, since I save that for absolutely horrible brews. I'm not really sure what this was supposed to be, but whatever it was, it didn't quite get there.

Right up front I tasted chocolate and a very subtle spice flavor..VERY subtle. Light maltiness, thin body. As this is my first dunkel Weiss I can't say I'm very impressed but I did pair this with grilled pork chops and baked Mac which complimented the meal nicely. A fine paring for a pork entre or as a dinner beer but I would not drink this casually.

The color is a nice medium-dark brown. There's nothing remarkable in the nose or mouth. It's hoppy and dry; and the finish is short. Nothing special.

Disappointing. None of the flavors particularly stand out. The chocolate is barely noticeable and the chili is nonexistent.

Interesting beer. Stsrts easily on the tongue then the dark wheat flavor hits with lingering smokiness. Fairly weak body for having such a smokey dsrk flavor.

Better than expected for shock top. Might actually pick it up again sometime just to have around
