Dark mahogany in color with a frothy tan head and chocolate boozy aromas. Smells 'hot.' Surprisingly bitter like burnt coffee with flavors of dark chocolate. Lighter body for the abv. Pretty good but a little bitter in the bad way Barrel aged version: so much smoother and clear pungent bourbon boozy notes. Dark black with a slight thick tan head and vanilla bourbon aromas. Packs a wallop with strong boozy flavors and a warming vanilla bourbon note. All of the flavors have mellowed but it's 'hot.'

Temperature is a big deal for this one. Served too cold: not good.

Strong, smokey, a little bitter.

Very tasty and strong 9.2 abv. Don't really like the bitter aftertaste.

A really good porter with lots of chocolate and coffee taste. Stored in my cellar for two years.

Head as thick as a snowbank, pitch dark pour. Well balanced flavor profile, with hops and malts equally prominent.

A bit hoppy. Complex.

Very good porter with a nice kick. Alcohol doesn't overpower the flavor.
