A surprisingly muted use of hops for Sam Adams. Tasty.

Like the monk on the label, I'm looking in the mug for a little more. This is a cross between an IPA and Abbey ale. Interesting combination.

Typical Belgian flavors come through. Light hops adds a new twist to the traditional Belgian. Not bad sam. Not bad.

Not my fave.

Really awesome head! Beautiful to look at. Light body, very light on hops. Really more of a pale ale, and it doesn't have a strong Belgian yeast profile either. Very easy drinking, not especially bitter. Not bad!

Beautiful burnt orange color, and a sweet mildly citrus hop aroma. Unfortunately, as with most Belgian IPAs, it's a bit conflicting between hop bitters and malt sweets. Similar to a well balanced pale but with conflicting hops.

A little too much citrus peel for me.
