malawijay - November 26, 2011This very popular ale is aged in bourbon casks, allowing the strong bourbon flavor to permeate the ale; so much so that one could be excused for wondering if in fact someone dropped a shot into the glass before pouring. While the bourbon, for some, overwhelms the ale, it maintains a nice, strong ale flavor: not heavily bitter, but enough to get your attention.
