Deep dark brown in color with a rocky, thick brown head. The head has fair retention and a moderate lacing, at best, but it certainly serves its purpose in presenting the aromas of coffee, vanilla bean, and cocoa. Tastewise, the bitter coffee notes are foremost, balanced by a nuttiness alongside the vanilla bean and drying cocoa notes that are less prevalent than the coffee. Fairly full bodied, with minimal carbonation and quite creamy and warming. A stellar beer!

It is labelled as "Aphrodite" when sold in the Liquor Control Board of Ontario stores. It's currently (Oct 2010) 6.5% ABV
