Pours black as night with a thin tan head light malty with a hint of sweet and a light sour finish

Was expecting a dark malty stout. What you get is a sour, light tasting, sour flavor. Interesting, not my cup of tea.

Very complex and unstoutlike, but that is probably due to the way the sourness plays in. I think if you aren't thinking style when you try this for the first time it would help. Very good beer and very different from anything I have ever put in my mouth. You taste everything in layers and light wood is all you are left with after you have cleaned your mouth of a taste. Highly recommend you try this with others so it goes faster and everyone can comment.

First taste was not what I was expecting. The stout taste arrives late, but the "sour" has a fruity flavor. Has a wine-like taste. This is different, but you should give it a try.
