Bitter

Poured from can. Semi aggressive pour yields thick, stable head, half inch thick. Dark orange to Amber color. Light, piney hops smell. First taste of malts breaking through with bitter hops. Overall, bitterness dominates taste through the second and third taste and remains dominant in the aftertaste. Bitterness seems unbalanced and raw. Too dominant for a pleasant drinking experience. This beer is definitely nothing to be sipped with food, it will take over. Addition: after beer warmed up a bit, malts are becoming stronger, overall slightly more pleasing. Rating increased to 3 stars.

So close to a five. Nice and rough, but just not quite a five. Too green.

Citrusy yet also an unusual malt heaviness that makes the body/hop ratio something quite original

Good starter IPA. It DOES have a smooth finish, like its website says. Give this one to the women and children who's tastes are maturing. No hint of added sugar. (Not that they did)

East coast malty earth level. No citrus or fruit

Hoppy, malt forward and very dry finish. Easy to drink with no bad aftertaste. I prefer more citrus notes but this is still a great beer
