My second favorite beer. Dark. Full flavored. Not bitter. Yummmm

Excellent; similar to black ale. Bit of coffee with a good hoppy kick.

One of the better black ipa ales, pours dark but has lighter taste

Another triumph from Lagunitas! Their beers have the most distinct aroma and this one is no different. Dark beer body with a hoppy kick. Love it.

B- to B+. Good roast with hops without the harsh astringency that some black IPA s can have.

There is a lot going on here. Pours dark like a porter or stout, but with an IPA nose typical of other Lagunitas brews. The flavor is yet something else, the hops are there, but blended with chocolate and coffee. It is an interesting take on the black IPA, and one of the better ones I've tried.

Not my cup O tea... Err bottle O beer. Bitter- not a lot of taste- and what there is in taste in not a fan of. Pass for me...

Dark beer that has a dry bite of nail. Normally would receive a sour aftertaste with a beer of this type, but instead maintains a dry palate but maintains full flavor of the drink. Not for the casual, will keep you up.
