Pretty good porter. The color is a deep dark beer bottle brown with a vanilla head. The aromas are roasted malts and coffees. Taste match the smells; light bitterness and soft hops. Little too much carbonation. 3 of 5 stars.

Not a great porter - very ordinary beer. Brewer states that this beer is inspired by classic London porters - hopefully the London porters are better than this one. This beer is a confusing mix of flavors. Taste is not great-a real lack of flavors.

A: Dark brown porter without much light penetration. Produces a one finger khaki head that thins before long but has decent retention and mild lacing. Poured into pint glass.
S: Smoky chocolate and coffee aromas strike the nose.
T: Roasted smoky malt with some bitterweet chocolate and a coffee finish that is dry, a tad bitter and clean.
M: Medium bodied with minimal carbonation.
O: Flavorful and smoky. The latter adds a unique take on the porter. I enjoyed it and will have another.
