Nice take on the style. Dark and malty! Great cascading head. Smells of malt, with a little smoke and burnt chocolate. Tastes of roasted malts, cocoa, and a little smoke. Feels buttery smooth, making it sit very heavy. Nice one! profile - February 20, 2015
Soooo smooth. Surprisingly smooth. Like velvet.

I have been to both Ireland and Scotland. Even though this is billed as a Scottish ale, it reminds me more of Guinness as served in Dublin than it does of anything I ever had in Scotland. That is a good thing since Guinness in Dublin is the single best beer I've ever had. So this may be the single best beer I've ever had in the good old USA. profile - January 31, 2015
A bit too dark. No fizz . Drinkable.
