Joe B. - December 25, 2012Raisins and figs in the nose. Moderately heavy mouthfeel. Heavy in malt with some dryness from the hops and wood in the finish. Having it with venison. Pairs well.
ibauman - September 9, 2012The poplar and eucalyptus planks impart a deep and rich flavor to its overall malty taste. Real 'woodsy' undertones make it a pleasure for sipping, but also truly 'drinkable'.
StoutLarry - April 22, 2012Like a fine Barleywine, but not overpowering. The sweet alcohol taste overshadows any effect of the poplar and eucalyptus planks it's matured with.
