vee.easler@yahoo.com - October 10, 2016Not overpowering but pleasantly sour. Obvious pumpkin flavor. Most pumpkin beers rely on pumpkin or emphasize spice married to pumpkin. Different from most pumpkin beers spice is clearly there but still complementary (rather than subtle). The unique edge: aged in rum barrels is no gimmicky hint of flavor, but perfectly balanced against other flavor notes. CAUTION: this is not a drink and drive beer! It does borrow some of the drinking pacing of rum.
