Very dark, mildly sweet. Low carbonation. Good winter beer for cold nights.

Like a thin stout. Roasted malt. Not much nose. Head leaves quickly with low carbonation. Would prefer a stout then this malty bock version.

Rich beautiful dark brown body with a khaki head that leaves a thin rim of lace around the Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass. Nose is predominantly roasted malt and chocolate. Flavors include sweet malt up front with a middle consisting of cocoa nibs and dark chocolate. Smooth and thick throughout. Full bodied with minimal carbonation. Sinfully good brew that is easy to drink and very enjoyable. I would love to have this again.

Wow, good balance of chocolate, malt, and creaminess. More than one is a challenge. Great on cold, winter holiday nights.

Wasn't very happy with this one. Had to choke it down. Sorry. I like most Sam's brews.

Good sipping brew after a meal. Not for everyday.
I tried several chocolate brews this winter. Thought this one was pretty good.
