Foamy lingering head. Clear amber color. Malty and bready smell. Malty taste with hoppyness. Light carbonation and smooth mouthfeel

Gordon Biersch Marzen sets the standard for this style for me. But it's not widely available. Sam Adams is seasonally available and is the best I've found for the commercial brands. The more I have it, the more I appreciate it's smooth almost "soft" drink smoothness. Wish it was available year round! Stock up in September and October. It's good until end of February and beyond if kept in the dark!
