Not bad for Sam Adams, but here are too many types of hops, giving it an odd mouthfeel and not a great flavor. Only gets this higher cause I love centennial hops

It's hoppy as you would expect from a double IPA.

Very good. Much better than the regular Rebel which I was disappointed with. Sam finally has a legit IPA.

Nice hops but not mixed well with the alcohol. But overall not bad

Quite the IPA. Nice hoppy flavor, but something else. Maybe a hint of citrus? Definitely crisp, could be smoother, with a slight alcohol and bitter aftertaste. Good in my book.

Disappointingly mediocre. Was expecting something closer to their third voyage.

Amber color. Decent head. Mix of piney and citrus hops. Tinge of sweetness. A little spice and dryness on the finish. (The 8.4%...) pretty decent double.

Hoppy and strong finish. Very tasty double!

As a high fan of IPAs I was fairly impressed with Sam Adams first attempt into the world of high gravity mass marketed DIPAs. Nice hops, bit over malted, but good ABV that is well hidden and a truly enjoyable flavor. 8+% six pack for 10$? Yes please.

Solid DIPA - it is nice to see a large brewery making good craft beer. I had given up on Sam Adams. This beer has a strong hop presence balanced out by a great malt backbone. Very well executed DIPA.
