Not enough caramel

Smokey peat but very bitter from hops

Strong flavor. Boozy. Slow sipping. Sharp.

Scotch boozy on the nose. Burnt sugar appearance with slight carbonation and a thick, lacy head. Malty with a warm scotch burn. I think this is from the peat moss malt, which imparts a slightly hoppy finish. It's ok but not one I'd drink again.

Great flavor, you can also taste the high alcohol a little bit smokey.

Pete style port with very heavy alcohol background emphasis.

It starts off ok but then it gets pretty bad. That aftertaste is pretty awful.

Tried the Liene Wee prior to this one and the sweetness was almost sickening. The smoky flavor Sam adds to theirs is the perfect compliment that balances theirs. Kudos! (and drink responsibly)

So I appreciated the quality of the beer and thought the beer was very good. I did not however like the smoke flavor. I thought it overwhelmed the beer and I could have done with a lot less of that smokiness.
