Malty more complex than expected. A warmer.

Strong like October

Subtly spiced, malty flavor. Not impressive, but not a bad drink.

Decent Holiday Lager. Light-To-Medium Bodied And Lightly Spiced With Orange And Ginger. Nice Winter Beer To Mix It Up From The Porters And Stouts I Like, But Nothing To Brag About (C+/B-)

Very malty and rich with little to no spice/cinnamon flavor

Not a bad beer but not a great one , has a carbonatey bite to it, but is lacking body and overall flavor is a bit watery. Much rather have an Octoberfest over this.

Mild toffee flavor with balanced roasted malt. Gentle sweet finish with a light lingering hoppiness. Mild hints of cinnamon and ginger.

I look forward to this offering from Sam Adams every year. It has a great flavor, without being overly spicy. The color is a rich, reddish-brown, and the head forms nicely and maintains for quite a while. I love the smell of this beer, and the taste is quite different from the Boston Lager. A great holiday beer, in my opinion, but would be equally welcome year round.

Dark amber in color with a slight bready malty note. Very little else going on with slight spice.

I have tried so many Sam Adams and yet to find one that works for me.
