@ Trader Joe's. Dark and smooth

Appearance: black as night, phone light can't shine through. one inch thick head (though, poured into available stemless wine glass at Sheraton hotel...), beige in color and uniform carbonation, persists for 2 minutes or so. light, sporadic lacing Aroma: slightly over-toasted bread, sweet caramel malts, bready. hops almost unnoticeable. Palate: medium-bodied, tingling on front of tongue and almost syrupy finish. Flavor: cocoa, hints of caramel sweetness. noticeable piney hops, though subtle. Overall: seems to fit the style fairly well. could benefit from being a bit more malt-heavy, as other schwarzbier usually sweeter w/o piney hops. 4/5

Should be Stargrazer, not Stargazer

Hints of caramel. Not very rich for a dark beer.

Surprisingly smooth for a dark beer. Not full of flavor for a dark beer but hints of caramel. Easy to drink. Decent.

8-28-2015. Ok beer. Would have again. Middle of the road for me.

Personal Notes: I had this beer after a long night of brewery hopping during a friend's birthday. That didn't stop me from enjoying the heck out of it. It was out of the tap, which gave it a great taste, still need to try it out of the can. First Taste: Brau Haus Brew Labs Tap Room Cost: Can; Unknown, Tap Room $6 per pint
