bersnobs - May 2, 2014Pretty strong. Lots of alcohol. VERY smoky with some chocolate in there too. Semi sweet.

stoopy645 - April 27, 2014Yazoo did well on this brew. Like other reviewers this beer has a pleasant smokey flavor and is dark enough to be considered a stout. Try this one if you if you have the opportunity.

SoKno - December 26, 2012Slight smokey taste. No bitter smoke aftertaste. A not too sweet porter. Perfect.

savvysaint - September 15, 2012Very dark heavy feel to it it has the raisin coffee chocolate taste to it It's growing on me but if you don't like dark strong coffee like beer don't waste your money but if you like stouts than get it it's a surprising beer

On my god it smells like bacon!!
Smoked malt flavor is very prominent, stout in style. Light-to-medium mouthfeel, hides the 9% very well. Fairly creamy in texture and flavor, low on carbonation, and almost a sweeter stout (but only slightly, definitely not prominent). There are some hop notes in there, just hunting towards the end. Dry finish, minor bitterness.

pogo177 - May 12, 2012Dark brown/black with a dark tan head. Roasty, light smoke, dark chocolate floats to the nose. Nice balanced flavors dance on the tongue. Smoke throughout but not overpowering.
