Nice rye aftertaste. Complex without too much going on. Aftertaste is slightly bitter, keeping the elusive 5 star rating out of reach.

Solid russian imperial.. Just as the bottle describes hints of rye, chocolate and espresso, but the key ingredient is the treacle, uncrystallised syrup made during the refining of syrup... It mellows out the rye bite but gives off a unique sweetness that compliments nicely.. A nice and roasted stout ...exceeded my expectations...4 stars maybe 4.5
