11/2/12 Grey lodge Interesting...good. Tastes like a blend of a sour and a coffee stout.

Decent beer, but seems to be co fused about its identity between a Dubbel and a Belgian Strong Dark Ale. A slight booziness with mild fruit overshadowed by some earthy tones. Some serious chocolate. Really starts to get better as it warms up. Overall solid, but not something I would seek out.

Darker fruity. Think figs, prunes. Earthy. Goes down easily.

Strong Belgian flavors, slightly cloying but still sweet and good profile - July 8, 2012
Very smooth, much like a porter. Hints of chocolate & caramel and a bit of fruit.

Like all dogfish, this one doesn't disappoint. Dark and flavorful, strong coffee flavor but real crisp and clean finish.

Black tea color, no head, effervescent, almond vanilla aroma, chocolate cherry flavor, malty finish, very different, I normally dislike dubbels but I like this one with the chocolate malt

Snuff nose. Drinks lightly sweet, coffee notes. Lingering musty aftertaste. Very similar taste to ta henket but more100x more refined/upscale .
