Smooth and sweet. You can taste the alcohol but it's not overwhelming. Very tasty!

Great Belgian style stout. Smooth with nice chocolate undertones. Very enjoyable.

Huge burst of flavors.. Almost confusing for the taste buds.. Starts off smooth, roasty, almost coffee like.. Finishes with a taste of candi sugar and a touch of hops.. Not something I want to drink all night, but once in a while, would be a nice change of pace.. Can't taste the high abv, always nice.... 3.5 stars

Interesting layers of flavor. The candied sugars create a sourness very unusual. But I enjoyed it. Twisted Spoke. June 2013.

Dark, but not as heavy as expected. A chocolate-, coffee-like flavor. Great for a slow-sipper

Don't always like Belgian string ales but this one isn't intensely alcoholic, it's more flavorful and robust. Definitely coffee notes of the dark roast variety

Smooth, rich, with a hint of cream. My only regret is the 8.4 abc, but it's served at Octo as a 12 oz.
