FabAru - May 12, 2020Wild Ale? What? No. Its a Belgian Style wheat ale, as it says clearly on the can. I would call it a saison. And it works fabulously. Very very good. Light and flavorful. Yeast and saison. Wheat. Fizz. The whole biz. Get a six pack now if thats your thing. Its very well done and really superior to the other beer I had from this brewery. One strange item that I cant reconcile: on the can, in fine print only no less, it says Aged in Cabernet Wine Barrels. Uh, what? No its not. I dont care whose mom or what Bible they swear on, this simply isnt true and makes zero sense. Maybe a bad prank by the can maker? 2021, Sept update: now just says ?Blended Barrel Aged,? which is also bit true in any meaningful sense; maybe they use steel barrels ; also, idedrop the rating a whole star and a half. OT sure why I icee liked this so much. Will only take it from 4 1/2 to 3 1/2.
