This is the nicest stout I've found in the states. Beamish is my favorite but I haven't had it in 8 months and that was overseas. This beer is well worth the purchase price.

Probably my least favorite beer from Samuel Smith. Not rich or meaty but thin and alcohol heavy.

Very smooth oatmeal stout with no after taste. No hoppy taste.

Great Oatmeal stout!! Smooth, not as heavy as other stouts. Definitely have again

My first oatmeal. Smooth, creamy & pleasant with hints of dates & raisins. It's ok... It's just a creamy dark brown ale to me. Nothing spectacular & extraordinary.

Like it! Bit chocolatey. Not heavy. Just good body and taste.

Not bad for a stout. Very dark. Goes down nicely.

Delicious flavors and a great winter warmer!

Not quite what I was expecting. My experiences with other oatmeal stouts has been that they were a little less bitter than this one on the finish, and have a thicker mouthfeel. I was surprised that the texture was not more substantial. It was ok, but not great, IMO.
