Carbonated, not smooth, which oatmeal stouts are supposed to be. Mid bodied. Nice burnt flavor, some oakiness. Flavor lasts. 3.25

A VERY BIG BEER THAT IS THICK AND STOUT

Very earthy, strong cherry aroma, lots of sweet malt, hearty but soft. It's suitability for winter as a seasonal brew is obvious from the first gulp, and is a bit strong for summer imbibing; delicious nonetheless.

Wasn't expecting woodsmoke as the dominant nose, and was immediately intimidated by it. Head dissipated very quickly. The smokiness in the taste was much more subtle and only hits toward the end. Coffee is strong in the middle, and again in the aftertaste, which also seems very salty. Not as thick as i expected after seeing the color. Wish I would have picked this one up over the holidays. There is something very comforting about this brew that makes me think of home by the fire on Christmas Day. Neat label on the bottle.

Medium body. Highly drinkable. Very smooth...kind of like velvet. A little bit of a smoky smell that didn't carry through to the taste. This is all malt and no hops. Really like this.
