Thick like a milkshake. Damn tasty though. Remiss me of a desert brew you would have at a high end steak house after supper. Lots of flavors well balanced.

The Abyss is a little dark for me. It has a very thick texture, with a mocha head that leaves an impressive lace on the glass. As well as the chocolate, I also detect hints of vanilla and cherry. The aftertaste is more of a coffee taste.

Very deep stout with nice licorice and chocolate notes. One of my favorites. '10 aged exceptionally well.
