Just divine. Like any strong dark ale, it'll floor you, so be careful. Especially with this one, whose smooth, raisin sweetness makes it very easy to drink. Malty, spicy, stupendous.

Smooth; dense; sour; slightly fruity; white grape perhaps? With slightly understated palate

Will always be a top beer in my book. Smooth and easy to drink for such a high ABV.

Very smooth for as high abv as it is. But sneaky.

Nice spice notes at the front, followed by a surprisingly hoppy bitterness for what is effectively a Belgian quadrupel. Not the sweetness of a La Trappe quadrupel, or even a Rochefort, but an equally complex flavor profile. Very clean bitter finish.

Thick head. Slightly sweet, yet spicy. Clean finish. Darker beer, but not heavy at all.

Very good for a lighter beer...not normally my pick.

Stone fruit sipper. Nice, warming, yeasty, raisin sweetness. A real delight.
