Very deep stout with nice licorice and chocolate notes. One of my favorites. '10 aged exceptionally well.

On tap at Concordia in Portland... 12.28.11 Very smooth with strong coffee notes... One of the best imperial stouts around. Tastes good on the rebound.

Tasted 09,10,11. Nose on all three very-similar. 09, smooth and a bit dryer. 10, was sweeter. 11, jubilant, fresher taste.

One of the best beers ever - high complexity

WOW. Yummy thick chocolate. Creamy goodness. Full mouthfeel. Complex. Nice balance between high alcohol roasted malts and chocolate. Light coffee mist all over. Chocolate covered cherries compliment this beer nicely.

Not sure about the vanilla ice cream comment, but really a great beer. Highly alcoholic so beware :) ... One pint was perfect as an evening meal, didn't like it at 60deg though, too much licorice coming through. At 45deg it was the best stout I've ever had.

Sweet. Smooth. Almost taste like a pear finish.

Bourbon taste in the forefront with a nice oaky background. The licorice and molasses make for a light feeling stout, a pleasant departure from heavy coffee, chocolate, malty stouts. Absolutely delicious!
