BIG BARLEYWINE!!!! very Carmel laden and dense, sweetly flavored with a little vanilla 14.1% and a full on mouth coating with each sip

Hoppy barley wine worth slight sourness

Wow! The bourbon really cones through on this one. It kind of overpowers the rest of the beer, but I detected a hint of chocolate malt maybe.

Nice deep amber color, fruity, almost raisiny/ dried cherry scent, slight tan head. Starts with simultaneous tart hops and caramel flavor, melting into a heavy toasted or sun dried fruit flavor which leads to competing rye bread and bitter hops finish. Aftertaste is of alfalfa hay or dried hops. Flavor is complete throughout (no watery spots) with a semi-heavy mouthfeel. The overwhelming impression is of sweetness.

Very balanced. Uncommonly sweet (for a barleywine, nothing much) andeasy to drink fresh. Good starter bw. On tap at Chan's in Destin.
