A nice surprise in a bottle of nut brown. The 2015 Best Brown comes across as both smooth and spicy. Low alcohol at 5.5%, nice head of medium-sized bubbles, a very good body and mouthfeel--no watery sensation, only moderate sweetness with no strong notes of caramel as other Browns often have, tasty maltiness, and moderately lingering spice flavors in the finish. Nicely done, Bell's!

Change the name .. "Average at best" brown ale.. Malty start, a quick punch of nuttiness and a bitey finish.. Not how I like my brown ales.. Change to a more subtle hop combination and would be much better.. False advertisement ..

Smooth and mildly robust. I really enjoyed this beer. More of a session beer than a high profile restaurant pick or a party beer.

Pretty nice brown ale. Chestnut color with a thin tan head. Light tobacco and smoke smells and tastes. There is also a faint caramel in there. Good beer.

An enjoyable, fuller-flavored Brown Ale.

Thick puffy head, chocolate dark brown color. Sweet, nutty, caremely? A little too sweet and not a strong finish, does this mean I just don't like brown ales as much then?
