People have this all wrong. Sours are not the most popular style of beer out there, that's for sure. It takes refining a palate to appreciate that style. Now I keep reading that the cherry doesn't compliment the stout, but if you take this the other way and look at it as a sour with a stout elements there is more to appreciate. Just because something hits you with something unexpected doesn't make it a bad brew. If you like zero sours and hate this beer I get it, but you've got some refining to do before you state something as bad. It's like giving a toddler black coffee, by comparison to apple juice, to them its gross, but coffee has a huge following for its complexity, if you don't understand that complexity you shouldn't be critiquing it. This is not mind blowing by any means but it is DEFINITELY not gross. Not worth the price tag though out in SoCal

It's dark and tart with a mild cherry and heavy smoke finish. I can see how this can be off- putting to some.
