Heavy scotch flavor, but enough maltyness to hide the burn. Doesn't have a lot of carbonation. This one sneaks up on you...quick!

Can certainly find the scotch character. Too close to a barley wine style for me. Others have strongly recommended tho.

Nice hitting flavors, good oaky and malty flavor with a nice hop bitterness. End of the night beer.

Holy crap! Full of flavor, mellow front end with a bitter back end. Very thick and malty.

Nice complex beer, my first scotch ale and I wasnt disappointed! Not much hoppiness but a nice malt flavor with a clean finish, will have again!

Not a huge fan of Scotch/Wee Heavys, but this is a great strong ale.
