Pours gold out of the bottle into a Sam Adams Lager glass with basically no head but extreme carbonation. Has a pungent grapefruit smell--perhaps some other fruits as well. Taste: sweet malt and citrus hop flavor, followed by a light, resinous hop mouthfeel and finishes dry and bitter. The bitterness lingers for a long time and its not until it settles in my throat that I detect alcohol warmth. Hard to detect the booze otherwise. Great IPA!

Not nearly as balanced as I prefer. A bit disappointing since I am a huge Founders fanboy. Much prefer their Harvest Ale. Super hoppy and a bit sweet but the added sweetness does not hide the ABV

For hopheads only, but will be a treat for them. Hops overwhelm the malt slightly but evenly from beginning to end. A go to beer when I have a jones on for shredded taste buds.

A serious brew that only beer guys will appreciate! Big alcohol taste with a complex aftertaste definitely worth a try or....session?! Try it!!!

Intense, quick finish, great hop and spice layering. Great balance with a tad lean towards pungent hops
