reedie@hotmail.com - April 27, 2013Deep caramel color, opaque. Little head but bubbly. Light sweetness in nose and taste, raisin, mildly boozy, caramel. Slightly bitter finish. Good.
abobo - April 27, 2013Awesome beer. Getting it on draft in the proper glassware is fantastic. Dark, opaque (think darker Chimay). Nose is fruity, little toasty, nary a hop; carbonation is high and it lifts the otherwise bracing alcohol so it goes down easier than you would expect from the ABV. Fruity taste -- I find raisin in particular, and a very clean finish. Too drinkable for your own good I assure you.
codehead - March 10, 2013One of my all-time favorites. Complex, fruity flavor profile with strong hints of Belgian beet sugars and yeast. Great with BBQ. This and Rochefort 10 vie for the best Trappist ale. Warning - this is high test hooch!
