Strong malty notes with lingering malt after taste. Lacks the crisp finishing tropical hoppiness that I prefer.

12/21/15 - Lampost pizza after Hockey game. Citrus, hops. Medium hop bitterness. Decent IPA.

Citrusy than hoppy. No aftertaste. Better than stone go-to ipa.

First time having a beer from Coronado. Just made it to NJ June 2015. Had on draft. Small ribbon of white foamy head which costs the glass leaving layers of lacing as you drink it. Clear reddish golden in color with a subtle piney and citrus aroma. Fairly light in body for a DIPA does not have a syrupy or resiny texture, but the piney citrusy hops attack your palate. Has a nice dry hop flavor with a very dry pine hop finish. Seems like a single hop take on a DIPA. Very tasty and enjoyable, but not a hop bomb. Surprisingly even a little muted compared to what o expected from the write-up. Would be a good gateway to sculpin or stone.
